Brick By Brick | The Gore Family

Brick By Brick | The Gore Family

Once the jewel of Tuscaloosa, the old Capitol Building now serves as a state park along the banks of the Black Warrior River.

When the original building tragically burned down, townspeople from all over began to salvage and reclaim the bricks that remained. They repurposed the remains brick by brick…each one became the strength of someone else’s home and the foundation of another’s story.

The Gore family is only just beginning their family story.

On the ruins of Capitol Park, they celebrated Thompson who just turned 3 months old. The pure joy that comes with having a baby was written all over their faces. While we didn't take a brick with us, we did build something that day. Together, their foundation is strong- I pray the Gore's will continue to build up their home with all the love and respect they brought to their family session.
