Privacy and Family Photos — What You Need to Know
The Woodlands Family Photographer
Let’s talk about something that doesn’t always make it into the highlight reel — privacy. When you book a family session, you’re not just hiring me to snap a few photos. You’re inviting me into your story, your space, and your real life.
That kind of trust matters to me. I treat it with the same care I give to capturing your most meaningful moments.

Whether I’m photographing a newborn in your arms, your child with special needs being their unfiltered self, or your family on a quiet Sunday morning, I handle those images with intention. What happens after the shutter clicks is just as important as what happens in front of the lens.
Here’s my promise: I give you control over your images.
I never post your photos online without your clear, enthusiastic permission. Every client signs a model release; however, that section is optional. You decide what’s shared — and what stays private.
Some families love seeing their images featured on my website or social media. Others keep everything completely private, and I honor that choice without question. In fact, there’s also a middle ground: maybe you’re fine with a sneak peek but no names. Maybe you prefer a silhouette. Maybe you want only the dog in the spotlight (yes, I’ve done it).
I celebrate the boundaries you set.
Privacy isn’t about hiding — it’s about choosing. You choose who sees your story and how I tell it. In return, I create a space where you feel safe, seen, and in control.
If you ever feel unsure about how your photos might be used, let’s talk about it. I welcome those conversations before, during, and after your session. There’s no pressure, no awkwardness — only open communication from start to finish.
Family photography is deeply personal. Together, let’s honor your story and protect it.
