Houston Maternity Photographer

Whether you want solo maternity pictures, you and your partner or the whole family, these are an important step in documenting your journey.
One of the reasons I ended up taking maternity photos for my pregnancies was to feel more connected, to begin documenting the legacy of our family, and (if I am super duper honest with you) to feel pretty. Let’s face it, as you get toward the end of the pregnancy, it is hard to feel much of anything except the swelling and anxiety that surrounds when your baby will arrive.
No matter your own reason, I’m here to help make sure you feel incredible and have images that share this season of life.
5 Tips For Maternity Photos
Find an amazing outfit– it seems simple, but you want to find something that makes you feel incredible.
Find a photographer that fits your personal taste or vision. Make sure to look at their full portfolio so you have a good idea of what to expect. You also want to make sure you vibe with this person so you can relax and feel comfortable.
Pamper yourself before the shoot. You deserve it. Even if it’s a pedicure and loads of water before the session…or it’s a full blow out and professional make up. Whatever helps you to feel your best.
Feed everyone before the session. This includes yourself, mama. Hungry people are angry people- at least at my house.
Embrace the mood of the session. That means take it all in stride and accept whatever happens during the session. Kids are crazy? It’s all good. Need a break? I got you! Bring some music, share your vision, and let the connections take over during your session.
However you prepare for your photos, trust your photographer and openly share your vision to make sure everyone is on the same page.
