Bringing a baby into the world is an incredibly raw and vulnerable milestone. I am with you from start to finish- helping you plan outfits, scouting the best locations and timing your session so your vision comes to life.
From announcing your pregnancy, celebrating a gender reveal, to your sweet baby in your arms- it is all worth capturing.
Most sessions last around 30 minutes, but I never set a timer. We will shoot until it feels like we have captured what we need or until your kids are kaput.
Newborn sessions last anywhere from 1-3 hours depending on your baby.
Don’t worry! There is plenty of time for big feelings- that is the beauty of a lifestyle session! We can pause for breaks, have a snack or embrace the moment and steal some snuggles.
Absolutely! To book your session, there is a $200 non-refundable retainer that will hold your date for you. Te rest of the balance is due a week before your session. If you have a specific payment plan you want to work out, let’s chat!
It depends on the session — a 30-minute Fresh 48 and a 2-3 hour newborn session just don’t produce the same volume, and I’ll never inflate a number to make it sound better. What I can promise is I deliver as much as the session gives me. Longer sessions (newborn, birth) typically land in the 100-150+ range; shorter sessions (maternity, announcements, Fresh 48) usually fall between 25-90. Either way, you’re getting the real gallery — every keeper, no cherry-picking.
Bad weather happens, and in Houston, it can come on without much warning. While I love a good sunny day session, cloudy days are beautiful in their own way. Don’t shy away from an overcast day or jump to reschedule because of some clouds. Overcast is not bad, it can actually create very evenly lit and wonderful photos. However, if it is going to be overcast and you prefer sunshine, you may be offered a rescheduled date at no additional fee- depending on availability. If the weather is bad (extreme heat or cold, or rain/natural disaster), Ashley will contact you to find another day that will work for everyone’s schedule.

Sickness happens- if anyone in your family is experiencing flu-like symptoms, let me know the moment you know so we can reschedule your session. It’s better not to force it or risk exposing anyone, plus I offer reschedules at no additional cost!
You can expect your final gallery 2-4 weeks after your session date. Who knows? If I get a little frisky, you may see it before then! If you need your session in a rush, ask about our rush fee!
This is something I pride myself in, I will never require print minimums or orders. I am happy to print your photos for you at my professional grade lab or direct you to a commercial lab I like. You can print your images at a place that works for you!
