Ok, so I am totally oversharing these images and I don’t care! I just adore this amazing family, so you better believe I ran up to the hospital as soon as I knew their third baby had arrived.
So fresh, Elora was, that her check up was completed during our session and her hair still needed brushing.

So what is a Fresh 48 anyway?

Well, it’s literally the most perfect time to photograph your baby in my opinion. It’s an intimate, undone, lifestyle session that happens in the first 24-48 hours after your baby is born.
Why then? Why the hospital?
Chances are that’s where you will be (but if you deliver at home or in a birth center, I come there too!). So really, the whole purpose is to capture the fresh, newness of your precious baby! It’s in those early first moments that your partner likely snagged a few photos using your cell phone of your baby, but really the rest is a blur. That’s where I come in!
Having a Fresh 48 Session captures the raw, emotional time of having a newborn. It’s all the little details you forget without the pressure of being perfect and poised (like you might expect for a posed/studio newborn session).

Take a look at the Longbottom Family- this whole session is drenched in warmth as the sun set in the window and the room filled with people who love this family of five. It’s really an incredible moment that now they will have documented forever (to accompany their fuzzy cell phone pictures because you always have to have those).

Elora, your name means “crown of victory” and this is my blessing I pray over you- that you will grow strong and wise, loved by all and with the same wicked sense of humor that your mama has. With the tender and honorable heart of your father and your big siblings beside you to guide you through it all.
