Having a baby is a lot, and then getting yourself ready for pictures in your home right after bringing your new baby hoe can be a bit overwhelming. So let’s break it down and figure out if a more organic and unposed style is for you.

I don’t offer posed newborn photography- it’s just not my thing. I love it and admire the artists that perfect it, but my style is more free and open. I want to capture the emotional connections between you and your family while documenting your environment. I mean, what is more special than photos of your baby’s nursery, or big sister holding her new baby brother right on your bed?

Follow these simple tips to have an awesome In-Home Newborn Session:

  • adequate lighting- make sure you have at least one main room that has good window light

  • dress comfy- just be yourself! I’m here to help you pick and coordinate 😉 know if you like

  • posed or unposed- just know your style. This is all about you and your family so if you are more laid back or want emotional intimacy in your pictures, lifestyle is for you

  • whole family- it’s a great way to include the entire family in daily activities like bathing the baby, feeding the baby or just documenting this stage of life. You just don’t get that with posed newborns. It’s pretty simple really and that is how I like it!

    When a little boy so special comes along, the whole family gathers under one roof, bringing countries and people together. Thomas, you are already so loved and adored by your family. There was a confident calm and peace that flowed through the whole house. Each hand placed on you loves you and it seems you instinctively trusted that.
