Bring me your wild, your silly and your fun. Bring me your family just as you are…with all your beautiful chaos and I will show you just how wonderful, incredible and unique your family is. The bonds you share and the connections between you are sacred and special. This family was ready for all of that and more- they embraced an evening at the creek (and a little rain storm on the way back) and we loved every second.
Every single family I work with is amazing. You read that right- I think you are amazing. I fall in love with every family I work with and I make no apologies for that (my husband has to put up with me crying at my keyboard while I edit, but it’s worth it!!).
That is why I like to spend so much time with my families before, during and after a session. I do not offer mini sessions often, and generally if I do, it is exclusive to families I have already worked with. Getting to know you and spend time documenting what makes your family unique is far more important than a quick mini. Your family deserves more and i want to be able to have time to offer more.
Documenting milestones or just your every day life may seem like it only takes a few minutes of your time, but to really slow down with your family and soak up all that is special about it, we need time together. The session normally goes by much faster than you think (can my kid actually last that long? Yes they can!!), and you will find by the end that the most authentic and natural photos will come after everyone gets comfortable being in front of the camera.
So, don’t hold back from giving more time to your family portraits. It’s taken time to get here and it takes time to tell a story- give your family the time it deserves.
