Overcast Skies- What To Do

The Woodlands Family Photography

So it’s overcast the day of your session….

I am a sucker for a night sunny day- it feeds my soul and makes for some stunning and dramatic colors. BUT overcast IS NOT BAD! I repeat- overcast is not bad.
Often, I will reschedule a session if it is too cloudy or gloomy, but there are times when I won’t so that and the results are equally stunning. Most photographers know that a cloudy or overcast day produces really soft light that can be flattering on the human face.

 Some things to consider

  • Try adding a pop of color

  • Use complementary colors

  • Soft, even light means we can explore more spots for posing!

The Hanh family got to enjoy the natural buffer that was a cloudy day- which was easier on baby Woodson and made getting great shots of their family simple and fun!
A year of love and laughter. A year with Woodson Hahn. This family will always be special to me and I am thankful for the chance to continue to watch him grow. You are loved for the boy you are, the man you will become, and the precious son you will always be.

Check out this cloudy day session!
