Do You Need Professional Make Up?

As a mom, who hates being told what to do or what I need, I want to assure you that is not what I am here to do to you right now. I only want to help you make the best decision you can for your pictures.
Our every own Allison literally never wears make up, while I enjoy wearing it daily. 😉
So let me begin by stating you are beautiful the way you are and however you want to look in your photos is up to you!

Now that you know you’re beautiful (duh!!) I’m talking to ladies who are considering make up for their photo session.
Some of the things I consider when it comes to my own family photos are how I want to feel. Not only am I having my pictures made for memories, but I am trying to capture my family’s legacy. If that legacy doesn’t include make up, totally fine. But for myself, I know that the days I do wear make up and get dressed up make me feel special. Of course you do not need those things to feel pretty or special, but as a busy mom of three, it’s nice to feel pretty.

(This is one of the reasons I recommend focusing on you first, mama! Your clothings first and your hair and makeup. The rest will fall in place because you are amazing and you always pull it all together. But give yourself the time and love you need prepare for photos.)

• Professional makeup is truly amazing— It lasts in the heat. It enhances your natural beauty, and it photographs really well. Many times, when clients do their own makeup, they tend to go lighter than what is needed for a photo session so it doesn’t show up the same as it did in person.

• It’s one less thing to stress over. You get your hair and makeup scheduled, you show up and get pampered. It’s so nice to have one less thing to fuss over when you have it professionally done prior to your shoot.

• Your makeup artist can make sure your hair holds up in the Texas heat, and find coordinating colors that compliment your outfit.

• In all honesty- it’s just fun! It’s a change of pace and it’s not something you get to do often.
