Smash Cake Sessions

I may be partial to this sweet boy- he is my nephew after all- but I can’t help it. Those little blonde hairs, the golden light coming in and of course those big baby blues of his!
He recently became more independent and thus made me work for this session a little more. Between making sure we got his genuine smiles, to capturing details about being a little one-year-old-human, he had me on my toes running here and there.
Milestone sessions like these are so much fun because it really does freeze time. I long for these frozen moments. When I am shooting your family, I am thinking about all the things I am already missing about my own babies. All the stages we have already been through. All the things you are going to want to look back on and hold dear. I want you to have it all.
