Sharing you’re pregnancy is a big step! It’s even more thrilling when you have older children- to be able to share such exciting news is a gift!
My own children are all so close in age, they do not remember a time before it was the five of us. I shared our big news with family and my husband of course, but never had the chance to come up with creative ways to share with kiddos.
Good thing I get to live through my lovely clients and friends- this family was bursting at the seams with their incredible news. A special rainbow baby is coming and they wanted to surprise their 7 year old with the news.
It was the perfect opportunity to document the moment with pictures for their growing family.
It started as a regular photo session, but with a twist.
Mom had put together a small box to have her daughter open during the session. Once we had warmed up and taken a few family photos, they offered her the box.
Inside we a flower crown, a big sister sash, a book on becoming a big sister, and the ultrasound pictures.
To say she was surprised is an understatement! After she found out, she couldn’t keep her hands off mom’s belly, declaring she already knew the gender and jumping up and down with such joy!
